Insurance & Liability Policy

1. Purpose

This Insurance & Liability Policy outlines the terms under which [Your Company Name] provides insurance coverage for goods in transit and defines the limits of our liability related to loss, damage, or delays during delivery.

2. Coverage Overview

We provide limited liability coverage for goods transported by our fleet, covering loss or damage resulting from incidents directly caused by our company or employees during active transit.

Coverage includes:

  • Loss due to vehicle accidents or theft during transit
  • Physical damage caused by handling or improper securing during transport
  • Misdelivery or documented failure to deliver the package

This coverage is automatically included in all standard shipments up to a declared value of $100 USD per shipment, unless otherwise specified in a written agreement.

3. Declared Value & Additional Coverage

If your shipment value exceeds the standard coverage, you may request declared value protection at the time of booking. This option increases the limit of liability based on the declared value and associated premium cost.

  • Declared value protection must be requested in writing and approved before pickup.
  • Additional charges may apply based on the item’s value and risk category.

We do not offer full insurance, and we recommend clients obtain third-party insurance for high-value or sensitive goods.

4. Exclusions & Limitations

We are not liable for the following:

  • Items improperly packaged or labeled by the sender
  • Perishable goods, hazardous materials, or restricted items
  • Delays caused by force majeure (e.g., weather, natural disasters, civil unrest)
  • Shipments left unattended without prior written consent
  • Items lost or damaged due to incorrect or incomplete delivery information
  • Consequential losses (e.g., loss of income, lost contracts)

5. Claims Process

To file a claim, clients must notify our support team within 7 business days of the delivery date or expected delivery date.

Required information:

  • Shipment tracking number
  • Description of the item and damage/loss
  • Proof of value (e.g., invoice, receipt)
  • Photo evidence (if applicable)

We will review and process claims within 14 business days of receiving all documentation. Approved claims will be reimbursed up to the insured amount or declared value.

6. Liability Limits

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, [Your Company Name]’s maximum liability per shipment is limited to the lesser of:

  • The replacement cost or fair market value of the goods
  • The declared value (if applicable)
  • $100 USD for standard shipments

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:
